The route to this beach is demanding and takes a long time and I must advise against driving this route when it is dark. The chance of not seeing the path properly is very high and in many places it goes very far down the side of the path. From the last junction where the path is where you would get to the waterfall, it takes another hour to get there. For me this beach was the most beautiful I have seen so far. If the weather is good you can also watch beautiful sunsets here. But then you should spend the night there somewhere. I had this beach completely to myself (off season). So for me the journey was definitely worth it. Be careful of the current and strong waves! Only go into the water up to your belly button otherwise you will be pulled out or knocked over by the wave

This is a nice safe beach to walk on however, you will notice a lot of garbage wash to shore

Lots of space, but just look, don't swim. You can expect sharks and crocodiles as well as strong currents here.

Gravel road, with complicated sections for a sedan due to the amount of loose and large stones. We arrived in a Rush 4x2 in summer. It lasts 1 hour and 40 minutes from Puerto Jimenez. Moderate waves but with a rip current. Bring everything you will need because the closest restaurant is 40 minutes away. We had a great time since there are very few people. Of course, as soon as the sun sets, a flock of mosquitoes comes out and eats you alive.
