Great hiking trail. Mostly open space without tree coverage. Loops of 4 miles and 10 miles. Hikes thru some fire scars. Interesting sites: vintage cabin and indigenous tepees rings. Restrooms and covered picnic tables available. Short paved walk at trail head for wheelchair access.

This trail system had a fire years back, and is slowly but surely recovering! There are several trails here for hiking or biking, also horses are pretty common here as well. There is always a breeze here, and it makes it even more serene and peaceful! I also saw some people here birdwatching, very cool place to come visit!

This is a wonderful area for a hike, especially in the less hot times of the year. It is close to Fort Collins and Loveland, yet far enough away to feel like you are in the the wilderness. There are a lot of birds and animals, including rattlesnakes, so be aware. The trails can be muddy after a rain or snow storm.
Cross-country skiing can be good after a bigger snow.
There are a lot of different hiking trails to choose from for all levels of expertise.

A great free place to hike close to Fort Collins. Getting here is easy, the parking lot has plenty of space, and it's totally free.
The trail is a wide, well maintained, groomed path. You've got quite a few offshoot options for trails and the main loop is a great length.
