A lot of fun to come out on their lunch days. You can just watch or participate and when discount rocketry is there you can even buy a rocket and some of them you can build there to launch.

Of all the Fiesta Island Dart Rocketry Launch Site locations, this one is absolutely the best. If you have Dart Rocketry that needs launching, this place is for you. Its open the second Tuesday of every week so dont miss out. (For the record I have never seen nor heard of anyone launching model rockets here, and its just a terrible location anyway. Although you avoid the fire risk of east county, your model is destroyed when it splashes down into the bay. Moreover, Lindbergh field is only several miles away and as an FAA TACAN area its illegal to launch anything bigger than a childs water rocket here. So Im calling BS on the whole thing) Across the bay at rose stearns AKA the toxic landfill is a real model plane club.
