Beautiful place to stop by and enjoy the Dan River! River is wheel chair accessible, spacious parking lot, steps with rails, and a community post board. Great area to fish, launch a kayak, or just sit and enjoy a beautiful day on the Dan!

One of my favorite short runs on the Dan River is Moratock to the former snow creek access. I was excited with this new access that would avoid the nightmare of going up Snow Creek at low water, and the long carry through the woods. However.... This access is an absolute mud hole.... You can not get out of a kayak without sinking to your knees in mud. All that work to build a beautiful access, but it's unusable to me because it needs a few truck loads of round rock dumped in the mud to stabilize it.

There is no parking for trailers. You have to get in knee high deep mud to access the river. They should have put in some rock at the bottom of the ramp . Terrible design.
