Beautiful lake, lots of areas for fishing and camping. Some areas have spots for RVs and others for just tents. There were bathrooms scattered around. This is a wide large lake with a few beach areas and one spot even had a kids jungle gym to play on. The nearby hiking trail is a must to do.

Clean beautiful lake just off the highway friendly for kids and pets. Very friendly birds that will eat right out of your hand here is a bridge and rock climbing and fishing and camp space is just off the highway a playground for kids is available as well. Would definitely come back not overcrowded well-maintained and preserved.

We saw this lake right when we entered the park through the west on 16A and could not believe how peaceful it was. This is the largest of the 5 lakes in Custer but appears to be the quietest. Our stop had a few picnic benches. They allow fishing, boating and swimming. You can also camp and hike by the lake. This stop will let you get unplugged and get away from the masks, the virus and enjoy nature’s way of social distancing.
