  • Location: 5656 E Silver Springs Blvd, Silver Springs, FL
  • What Makes It Special: The main launch within Silver Springs State Park offers direct access to the headspring, where the high visibility of the water provides stunning views of submerged vegetation and fish. 2. Wild Rhesus Macaque Viewing

This is one of my favorite river's in Florida. Very natural river with no houses on in. It is a great place to paddle and take in all of the wild life.

One of our favorite rivers to kayak. We were there in January and had some days in the 70s. We saw many different bird species, the wild monkeys, alligators and manatees. The water was really clear up near the springs and mostly clear pretty far down River. There were many other canoes and kayaks out. Everyone was friendly and helpful with where to spot different animals. We liked the area so much that we booked a 3 month stay for next winter.

This is the most scenic river in the region and perfect for small motor boats and paddling. Great place for a summer swim as well. The clear, clean and cool waters flow through what feels like a jungle at times. Seeing wild monkeys, boar, turtles and fish made for an exciting time as well. The natural wonder here is a national treasure!

This place is fantastic for wildlife. But park down river at Rays, so u can go the 5 miles down stream. Get there before 11am so you can get a parking spot. Even the younger aged people had a hard time paddling upstream! I even saw 2 monkey's near the 4 mile marker. But. I been told they come out to the water's edge about anywhere. Oh yes, been here 2 times and can't wait to go again!
