Great place to hike or get outside for the day. They have trails for all levels of hiking experience. Pets are allowed but must be leashed at all times. Can get icy in the winter.

This park is amazing. A great place for the family. Well kept and maintained. Beautiful scenery. Make sure you choose your trails wisely. Also prep and be time aware. Some trails will take hours to complete but are all well worth it. Friendly park staff and efficient break areas on the trails.

Beautiful new campground! The campsites were really nice. Metal fire ring, gravel tent pad, and a nice clean picnic table. The bathrooms were pristine. The hikes were perfect for our young kids. We especially loved raven rock itself. The park ranger drove through regularly and sold packs of firewood for $7.
We were shocked at how quiet the campground was at night. We loved everything about Raven Rock!

This is a really good place to walk, hike or just have a picnic. They have very clean bathrooms and the staff are really friendly. My concerns are when walking the trails be careful of tree roots that go across the trail and though these are natural they can cause you to trip if not careful. My next concern is the campsites the non electric were plentiful but the electric ones all had reservation tags on them so find out before assuming there is a spot available. The small museum inside the visitor center is very informative and overall I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful doesn't begin to describe it. Wonderful nature park with an unmatched scenic view and well maintained, uncrowded quiet trails. We saw several others on the same trail but still felt unbothered and able to enjoy the park with no problems. We completed Raven Rock loop trail on our first visit and will be returning to finish another route. I cannot recommend it enough, whether you're in the area or just find yourself in need of a lovely day out. I find it to be one of the best State Parks in North Carolina so far. Also picked up a cool patch and hiking medallion in the visitor center :)
