Very nice clear water but way too expensive for what you get, no place to sit by water, only two access points not big enough for couple of people $26 for two not worth it! Better places

I absolutely recommend this spring! There are places to grill and chill and the water is amazing! The swimming hole is safe and crystal clear! Bring your own raft or tube and soak up the sun or snorkel at the blue hole! There's even a life guard on duty which is rare! You'll love it!

Just on the outskirts of the ocala national forest is silver glen springs. It’s a very small park that offers all of the beautiful environmental experiences that the larger parks offer. It’s a hidden gem. There is a launch area for your kayaks or paddleboards. You can also rent here. It’s so easy compared to other places that are swamped with people. There is a swimming area that is roped off where the spring head is. It’s absolutely beautiful. There are trails in the woods which lead to amazing sights. There are picnic tables and grills that are public use. There are changing rooms up by the main building. And there are portable bathrooms to use, which are actually quite clean. As you can see in the pics, the water is crystal clear. The manatees were everywhere this time of year. I recommend checking this place out over some of the other busy places. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon.

This is a great spring, especially in the off season. There’s many springs in the area and this one is great for Florida natives. It’s not the most exciting or busy spring so I wouldn’t recommend it for tourists. There were separated areas for swimmers and people in kayaks or paddle boards, but there were also some trails to hike. I was lucky to go in January and see a lot of manatees in the swimming area and have a less crowded time.
A lot of negative reviews bring up the $12 price tag and I agree it’s a little pricey, especially for families. But I’m used to paying $6 for state parks and for just a solo person it’s manageable.
The park employees were nice and informative and it is a very well kept park. There is a small concession that has water and snacks but not much and there are just porta-potties, no real bathrooms. However, it was still great, I will be back to swim and hike! Live laugh love Silver Glen Springs!!!
