great for fishing or hanging out. kayaking was decent too but nothing really along the shores to make kayaking all that great. nice place though. $5 to enter.

Grass on trails is a bit high so recommend jeans or something to keep it off your legs but they are very wide trails which is nice

Walter Long Lake (also known as Decker Lake) make some great fishing memories. Weekends do get busy with boaters, kayakers and fishing anglers alike so be sure you are always watching where you are going. Be mindful and respectful of other kayakers and boaters in the area and for the sake of goodness, know how to plan for an emergency if one should occur. Know where you life jackets are located, make sure your vessel (boat, kayak or alike) has a first aid kit handy. Although I haven't been on land side of the lake, there are some picnic spots for some family fun. Parking is run by a digital meter and debit cards and credit cards are accepted. As of this post, $5 weekdays (MO-TH) and $10 weekends (FR-SU).

Love coming here but only during the weekdays when it's not crowded. It's so pleasant and peaceful when the lake doesn't have to many people. Great place for a swim or to fish or just to relax on a boat or in a tube.
