Great spot for photos, but be careful with timing because it's a lot of very sunny, open spaces. It's also definitely a popular spot for walking and biking. We managed to find this partially shaded and secluded area for photos, and the backdrop turned out great! I think the open area by the water would be amazing during golden hour 🌅
*Update: I went for a sunrise session and it was beautiful!

I love Brushy Creek Lake Park! It's so nice to go down and see the water, and there are a wide stretch of different trail/paths to go on. I have more to explore so I will be back! There's a little bit of space for everyone and every kind of activity you want to do. Picnic, playground, fishing, boat rentals?, sand volleyball, biking, walking, running, etc. They also have a bathroom which is nice, always been relatively clean when I've been.
The one trail past the dam has some interesting fossils along the path? I couldn't tell if they were embedded or printed but it was intriguing either way. The design of the dam related structures were also visually appealing and interesting. A great contrast between the natural and fabricated.

Brushy Creek is one of the best parks I’ve visited, and it has quickly become one of my favorites due to how well-maintained it is and the size of the park. Whether you’re an avid hiker, sports enthusiast, or just looking for a peaceful outdoor experience, this park has something for everyone. The numerous hiking trails offer a range of difficulty levels, allowing both beginners and experienced hikers to enjoy the natural surroundings. There are also several baseball fields, making it an excellent spot for family gatherings or sports activities. For families with children, the playground is a wonderful area where kids can play and burn off energy while adults relax and enjoy the scenery. One thing I truly appreciate is the cleanliness and organization throughout the park; everything is well-kept, and you can tell the community takes pride in maintaining it. Brushy Creek offers a fantastic escape from the hustle of everyday life, whether you’re seeking exercise, outdoor fun, or simply a place to unwind in nature. I highly recommend stopping by to experience this beautiful park for yourself—there’s something here for everyone to enjoy.

Nice playground for different ages with a beautiful view of the lake. Kayak rentals, fishing, and a fun bridge that leads to a trail. Love this park!
